Hi everybody. Most people around here call me Zel. But you'll remember me as the Genma Saotome-panda from the AniZona masquerade lesson. I gotta say it's pretty hard to learn some of the moves in that costume, but I had a good time. I only found out what para para was shortly before the con, but I would definitely like to learn it. Cool

Nope not scouted, more like coerced by the emcee (and my Ranma-chan). "I see a panda in the back row. You should use the panda as a test subject." Or something to that effect. I found the forum on my own after the con.

Gomen Spence. Crying or Very sad
Please forgive me for not remembering you. A lot of people (I didn't already know) touched the panda. I really only remember like two of them. A Kikyo that groped me and an Inu Yasha that hugged me after the para para lesson. The latter was mostly because we were still on stage at the time.

Well, the larger movements were pretty easy, but the fine movement of the wrists were a bit harder. I'm talking in generalities here, because I had never done para para ever before, so pretty much everything was hard for me. Also, the panda costume had to have a lot of padding, as I am actually a pretty small person. For reference (if anyone noticed me) my other cosplays at the con were Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi (complete with Miaka), Kyo Sohma, and Dr. Hokuto Umeda from Hana-Kimi. So I think a regular mascot costume might not be quite so bad. Hope that helps.
